Tim Zettlemoyer is currently an active duty Marine serving with the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band as a trombone instrumentalist and the trombone section leader. During his time in the United States Marine Corps, Tim has performed with the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band’s Ceremonial Band, Concert Band, Big Band, Jazz Combo, Brass Quintet, and New Orleans’s Brass Band. Tim is also a five year member of the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra based in Wilmington, NC. Prior to his enlistment starting in January 2019, Tim attended Millersville University of Pennsylvania where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music. During his time in his undergraduate degree, Tim was a prolific freelance musician in the central Pennsylvania region, playing around 1500 professional performances. Some career highlights include the creation of his New Orlean’s brass band, Big Boy Brass, playing summer contracts with the Hershey Park Band, performing at the Dutch Apple Theatre, a regional theatre with several Broadway level musicians, and backing Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, and Jordan Smith on their 2017 Christmas national tour with the Hershey Symphony.
