Max Mascia


Beginning Band and Brass Instruction

Max grew up in Penna, went to school and got his BS and M ED at Penn State. He taught instrumental music for 32 years where he has experience teaching elementary and junior high teaching as well as high school. He taught for two years in PA and thirty one years on Long Island, NY. He was President of the Hampton Music Educator's Association and was a member of MENC (New York State Music Educator’s Association) and Pennsylvania Music Educator's Association.
His bands were invited to march in the NY City St. Patrick's Day Parade during his twenty years of high school directing in Westhampton Beach, NY. He played 1st chair, 1st trombone in the Penn State Blue Band. He performed in professional concert bands, jazz bands, and brass ensembles as well as pit orchestras for high school musicals on Long Island.
Presently, he is performing with the Craven County Community Band.
