Along with teaching and formal education, Malcolm also has extensive and impressive performing arts accolades including playing with Diane Reeves & Billy Childs at the Telluride Jazz Festival, Mark Isham a noted film scorer and trumpet player, The Tony Diana Trio of San Francisco, The Peter Welker Sextet of San Francisco, the Ellyn Rucker Trio of Denver, Bob Ward and the Cigar Band of San Francisco, The Miscellaneous Jazz Section of Colorado, Tangent of Colorado, along with 30 years experience as a orchestral and studio percussionist.
